DEC Welcomes Senate Passage of the Older Americans Act Reauthorization Act

The Diverse Elders Coalition (DEC) welcomes the Senate passage of S.2120, the Older Americans Act (OAA) Reauthorization Act. The DEC thanks original bill cosponsors Sens. Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Rick Scott (R-FL), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Susan Collins (R-ME), Tim Kaine (D-VA), Ed Markey (D-MA), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and Ben Ray Lujan (D-NM) for their tireless leadership on OAA reauthorization. The DEC urges the House to consider this legislation promptly to ensure older adults, caregivers, and communities across the country can continue to access resources and support they need to age with dignity, security, and independence.
